African Regional Organizations

Originally published in 1984, this collection of essays by African, Indian, European and American scholars formed the first comprehensive study of African intergovernmental organizations. It deals with African relations with the United Nations, as well as continental (OAU, ECA and ADB) and subcontinental (OCAM, UDEAC, ECOWAS, EAC and SADCC) organizations of a security, political, financial and common market type, and provides a comparative study of problems, trends and prospects.
