While not an extensive overview of paediatric ill health, this chapter addresses a range of common problems presenting in a primary care setting including Screening, Growth monitoring, Atopy, Allergic rhinitis, Asthma, Iron deficiency, Screening for hearing loss, Screening for eye and vision problems, Infantile colic, Enuresis, Dyslexia, Developmental disorders and disabilities, Langauge development, Behaviour and psychological problems, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism and Autism-Spectrum Disorders, Obesity and Immunisation to illustrate the role of an integrative approach to children and their families that will support family cohesion and rally mutual physical, psychological and social supports underpinning a healthy approach to living.
