Beskrivning
Bright, vibrant pictures are the focus of this children's Bible for 5-7s; expressive people and animals carry out their lives against a backdrop of colourful and dramatic landscapes. The scenes are set evocatively by author Sarah Dodd, who is able not only to bring life and character to the stories of the Bible for younger, or perhaps first-time readers, but also to explain their implication in the wider context of the Bible. There is a glossary included in the back to explain the words which may be unfamiliar, and page references for each word.

Mer om författaren

Sarah J. Dodd grew up in the north of England and spent her time walking with her family, reading as many books as she could get her hands on, or dreaming about horses. Her first career was in science, with a degree in Environmental Science and a PhD in Plant Ecology. Then she discovered her passion for working with children and became a primary school teacher. After living in Australia for a while, she returned to the UK and settled in Lancashire, where she still lives. When she became a full-time mother, she began to pursue her childhood dream of becoming an author, and her first book was published in 2008. A lover of mountains, maps and mysterious paths, she will try anything once and loves to get her hands and clothes dirty in the name of fun and adventure. She is the author of Beyond The Setting Sun, Just Like You, Legs, and The Lion Picture Bible. Raffaella Ligi was born in Urbino, Italy. Since 1997, she has been working as illustrator mostly for children books and collaborating with many book publishers all over the world. She is the illustrator of Alive Again! The Easter Story, Welcome to the Journey, The Newborn King, and The Lion Picture Bible. She now lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
