Contemporary Action Theory Volume 1: Individual Action

This is a two-volume anthology which discusses philosophical questions related to the actions of individuals or groups. This volume concentrates on philosophical questions related to actions performed by single individuals, whereas the focus of the second volume is the philosophy and logic of actions performed by several individuals or groups of individuals. The contributions represent recent research in the field of philosophy of action and closely-related fields such as artificial intelligence. The two volumes can be read independently of each other. The books should be of interest to researchers and students in philosophy and artificial intelligence and also to theoretically-minded researchers in psychology, organization research and economics as well as in jurisprudence.
