Kay Harris Kriegsman, Ph.D., is a psychologist in private practice in Bethesda, Maryland, author of Taking Charge: Teenagers Talk about Life and Physical Disabilities, and a consultant on disability issues. Jeffrey B. Palmer, M.D., is a professor in and director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
