Dependency Tendency

Based on the thesis that dependency is a natural human behavior rooted in instinct and expressed in culture, for which all societies must make provision. Where dependency cripples the ability of the personality to function, it may be considered 'negative.' Where it serves as a continuing force in the functioning of adequate personality, dependency is a 'positive.'
