Modern Persian Drama

This anthology presents five plays that exemplify the most significant trends in Persian literature and represent the first English translations of the works of three of its leading practitioners. Drama is a recent development in Persian literature and is as yet little known outside of Iran. The translations included in this anthology make the genre accessible and bring this new and original art form to the attention of the West. Co-published with the Persian Heritage Foundation.
