OHIO SCHOOLMISTRESS

This is a wonderful book about the memoirs of Irene Hardy, who was born on July 22, 1841 in Eaton, OH. She was a schoolmistress, a poet, a Stanford University professor, and a pathfinder for establishing standards for composition and teaching literature. Fascinating book about Hardy's pioneer life, early challenges as a woman, her influential actions in teaching and writing poetry, and much more. Educational and historical.
