He the author of the Explorer's Guides The Blue Ridge & Smoky Mountains, North Carolina, The Photographer’s Guide to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and The Photographer’s Guide to the Great Smoky Mountains. He lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
