American Sun & Wind Moving Picture Company

In this magical and original look at the movies during the time of Hugo and The Artist, the son of a New Jersey filmmaker and his actress wife imagines stories that his uncle’s camera turns into two-reel silent movies. Crossing paths with the likes of D. W. Griffith, Lillian Gish, Mary Pickford, and “Roxy” Rothfael during the era of transition from silent film to the “talkies,” Joey searches for love and identity in a tale worthy of a studio whose moguls might have been Kafka, Garcia Marquez, and Singer.
