Captivity

Actor Josh Haddon and tennis player Jeff Brazer have three things in common - they are famous, rich and desire the same girl, a lawyer called Suzie. Through Josh's eyes we witness the 'before, during and after' of a classic love triangle, but one played out in the glare of the media spotlight. In CAPTIVITY, Lander Hawes strips bare a romantic entanglement from the point of view of that modern phenomenon: "celebrity."This is the novel as forensic examination, a story that asks fundamental questions about the behaviour and attitudes of the rich and famous, and by reflection about our not-so-famous selves.
