Throughout her life, Shatanese has faced a myriad of life-altering events including miscarriage, being a sexual abuse survivor and most recently a breast cancer survivor. Faced with her own mortality due to a breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent double mastectomy, Shatanese realized the importance of living every moment and the power of discovering the extraordinary in everyday moments while knowing God is always present.
