Lise Fontaine is Professor of Linguistics at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Her work focuses on lexical semantics, reference, and the interface between grammar and meaning. Her notable publications include Referring in Language (with Jones and Schönthal, 2023, CUP) and The Cambridge Handbook of Systemic Functional Linguistics (co-edited with Thompson, Bowcher and Schönthal, 2019, CUP).
