On the Ground of the Ukrainian Frontline

_On the Ground of the Ukrainian Front_ is the continuation of the stories from Ukrainians who defend their country during the Russian invasion following on from _First Hand Accounts From the Ukrainian Frontlin_e.These accounts are recorded in the later stages of the full-scale war, when the initial shock has passed and the reality of a prolonged conflict has taken hold.If the first book captures the moment of choice - the decision to stand, to fight, to survive - this work explores what comes after. It is about endurance and the often invisible effort required to continue. The narrators speak from within a different phase of war. Exhaustion, routine, and loss become part of everyday life. Yet within this heaviness, they search for something that allows them to go on - a new meaning, a redefined sense of self, a deeper understanding of the reality. These are not only stories of war, but of transformation. Of how a person changes when the extraordinary becomes ordinary.Together, these voices form a more complex portrait of the defender - not only as someone who answered the call, but as someone who continues to carry it.
