    Beskrivning

This book explores Digital Soil Mapping (DSM), highlighting its potential to improve soil property predictions and support soil monitoring initiatives. It presents approaches for creating accurate and comprehensive soil maps through the integration of numerical models, environmental datasets, and field and laboratory observations. The book examines knowledge-based approaches, statistical and geostatistical models, hybrid methods, machine learning algorithms, hyperspectral remote sensing, and pedotransfer functions. It also discusses high-resolution spatial data, advanced modelling techniques, sampling methods, and quality assessment procedures.Key features include:Provides an in-depth exploration of the latest technologies and methodologies in Digital Soil Mapping.Focuses on the integration of Digital Soil Mapping with other cutting-edge technologies.Offers comprehensive insights and practical strategies for effective land-use planning.Elaborates on the applications of DSM products in land resource management.Includes case studies and real-world examples that demonstrate the practical application of Digital Soil Mapping. This book is intended for graduate students, researchers, and professionals in the fields of soil science, paedology, and remote sensing.
