    Gulshan Sharma received his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) degree from Punjab Technical University in 2007, Master of Technology (M. Tech, Hons) in Electrical Power System Management from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi in 2007 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India in 2014. He was a post-doctoral research fellow at University of Pretoria, South Africa from 2015-2016. He has more than 17 years of teaching and research experience at various institutes at territory level. Presently, he is working as Associate Professor in Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technology, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa, and he is a senior member of IEEE and SAIEE. He is acting as Associate Editor of International Journal of Modelling and Simulation, Taylor & Francis and Academic Editor of International Transactions on Electrical Energy System Journal. He served as the lead guest editor for the Energies (MDPI) special issues entitled “AI-Driven Sustainable Power Grids: Enhancing Cybersecurity, Operation, and Control of Conventional, Modern, and Renewable-Based Energy Systems” and its subsequent “2nd Edition” and he was a Member of Technical Program Committee of various International and National Conferences. His research excellence has been recognized through inclusion in Elsevier’s Top 2% Scientists rankings for 2024–2025. He has published over 200 scholarly papers with more than 6000 citations, has an h-index of 37, and holds a Y rating from the NRF, South Africa. He has authored one book and edited two books in his field of expertise. He has received research funding from various research agencies. He has been continuously engaged in guiding research activities at graduate/post-graduate and Ph.D. levels. He has supervised to completion over 12 master’s and 6 doctoral students. His area of interest includes power system operation and control, renewable power generation, smart grids, microgrids, electric vehicles, cybersecurity, FACTS and application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to power systems.Bishwajit Dey earned his PhD from IIT ISM Dhanbad in 2021, is currently an assistant professor at Manipal University Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. He worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa from April to December 2024 before taking on his current role. He has taught and conducted research at Adani University in Ahmedabad and GIET University in Gunupur, Odisha, for more than three years. His research focusses on demand side management, price-based and incentive-based demand response, microgrid energy management with PHEV and BESS and power systems optimization.Vinay Kumar Jadoun has received B.E. from SATI, Vidisha, M. P., India. He received M. Tech. and Ph. D. from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, India. Previously, he worked as faculty in the National Institute of Technology, Delhi and National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, India. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE, Manipal, India. He has more than ten years of teaching experience. He has published many papers in respected International Journals, in International & National Conferences and Book chapters in different Books. His areas of interest are Economic Operation of Power System, Hydrothermal Scheduling, Multi-area Economic Dispatch, Renewable Power Generation, Micro Grid, Smart Grid, Electric Vehicles, Condition Monitoring of Electrical Apparatus, DGA, Health Monitoring of Power Transformer and Soft Computing Techniques. He has supervised PhD, M.Tech and B.Tech thesis in different research areas. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, PES, and Smart Grid Community. He is Student Activity Committee Chari of IEEE Mangalore Sub section. He is an Executive Committee member of IEEE PES and Young Professional, Bangalore Section, Women in Engineering (WiE) and IEEE Mangalore Sub section. He is an editorial board member of Scientific Report Springer Nature Journal and Associate Editor in Frontiers in Smart Grids Journal. He is Guest Editor in the Special Issue in reputed Journal and Editor of books. He received Best Researcher Awards, Best Reviewer award and Certificate of Outstanding Contribution in reviewing award from various reputed Journals. He is also a Member of Technical Program Committee of different International and National Conferences.Pitshou N. Bokoro received a Bachelor’s degree from the Durban University of Technology in 2006, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg in 2011, and a PhD degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2016. He Joined the University of Johannesburg in 2007 as a Lecturer in the department of Electrical Engineering Technology. He is currently Associate Professor and Head of School. He is professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). He holds senior membership with the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) as well as with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is also a specialist editor for the SAIEE Africa Research Journal (ARJ). As a researcher, Pitshou has authored and co‐authored several publications, which include over 100 journal articles – including articles in high-quality, quartile-1, high-impact factor journals; 75 papers in conference proceedings in both local and internationally renowned conferences in the field of engineering; 10 chapters in edited books published with globally reputed publishers as well as 5 books (2 authored and 3 edited). He has conducted several research projects and attracted over US$ 42611.72 in grants. He is a recipient of the Erasmus+ funding in collaboration with the University of Klagenfurt in Austria. He has supervised to completion over 30 master’s and 9 doctoral students. His research interests entail power quality, distributed generation, virtual sensors, condition monitoring of dielectrics and insulation materials, reliability of surge protective devices, distributed generation and economics of energy.
