A man inherits a metal shoe from his grandfather a fisherman - a metal stiletto to 'spin' with in his lake. When it cuts from the cheek of a local man, caught in broad daylight, he will fish only at night for the Lady of the Lake, who now writes in thin air for him to read her leather fingers like expressive lips.
