Rare Earth Conspiracy

Mysterious deaths. A stranglehold on rare earth resources. And an investigative reporter who won't stop digging. Our lives depend on technology. Without computers, smartphones, lasers and jet engines, our world would collapse. They all have one thing in common: rare earth elements. Without these seventeen elements there would be no technology, and no modern civilization. One country has the mining monopoly: China. Investigative journalist Mac McFarland joins an expedition searching Alaska's Aleutian Islands for a source that will break the Chinese stranglehold. Then people end up dead and he has a new story to write - if he can stay alive long enough. If you like the international intrigue of Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne and the persistence and tenacity of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch then you'll love The Rare Earth Conspiracy.
