The increased use of sophisticated mobile devices opens up new possibilities and challenges for language teachers and learners, which has led to an increasing need to consider issues relating to mobile technologies specifically. Glenn Stockwell is Professor of Applied Linguistics at Graduate School of International Culture and Communication Studies, Waseda University. He is co-author of CALL Dimensions (Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, 2006) with Mike Levy and editor of Computer Assisted Language Learning: Diversity in Research and Practice (Cambridge University Press, 2012). He is Editor-in-Chief of The JALT CALL Journal and the Australian Journal of Applied Linguistics and Associate Editor of Computer Assisted Language Learning.
