What you have here is a book about Christian Ethics, which may sound daunting, but it''s not. Christian Ethics is just the technical name for how we live a Christian life. In this case, we’ll be working your way through the Lord''s Prayer. Not many people think about the Lord''s Prayer as a guide— it''s a prayer.Several years ago, as I went through my daily prayers, I had a Blazing Glimpse of the Obvious: Jesus said, "Pray then like this," and gave us the Lord''s Prayer. Ok, says I to myself, if that''s how Jesus wants me to pray, then I guess I had best pray that way. I also began to meditate on what each of the parts of the prayer meant.This book is not technical. Oh, sure, there are a couple of Greek words here and there, but that''s just so you get an idea that no matter how it''s translated into English, we miss something. Don''t worry about it; you don''t need to know Greek. There are also a couple of interesting historical bits. I find them fascinating, but you will have to judge for yourself.
