The mystical power-wielding mutant Ilyanna Rasputin, aka Magik, long-time fan favorite X-Man, goes demon hunting, Soulsword in her grasp and her old friend Dani Moonstar by her side.

The demonic aspect of Magik's origins have gripped the imagination of X-Men fans for years, now for the first time ever it is explored as Magik takes on an apprentice, Cal, a mysterious teenager with links to dark sorcery!

The X-Man Ilyanna Rasputin strikes out on her own with new allies and dark powers arrayed against her. Something ancient has awakened beneath the Alaskan ice. Unfortunately for it, that’s Magik’s territory now!

Meanwhile, demons have been hunting mutants abroad — and as Ilyanna begins a search for answers, she and her ally Cal must dive deep into the Tokyo underground. But who is watching Magik from backstage?
