Treaty of Versailles, The Power of Love

It was late winter in Berlin, 1931, more and more the Brownshirts fought other political parties and one of its members, Erich, killed a communist. His fellow Brownshirts were proud of him, but Erich knew he had to get out and find peace or turn into a monster. By May of that year, he met Nicholas, fell in love and was determined to change his life for their sake. Erich's job at the Reichstag office was far worse after the elections of 1932. The old laws against queers were enforced and new laws were enacted. Nikki and Erich fled to Canada. In 1935 Nikki returned to Berlin to help his mother with his ailing father, but his mother, angry with him for his lifestyle and his desire to go back to Erich, turned him over to the Gestapo. Erich's plan to save Nikki would succeed if he returned to his former life as a Nazi.
