Dr Kerry Taylor is a Senior Research Fellow and Acting Deputy Director with the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health and Well-Being at Flinders UniversityDr Pauline Guerin is affiliated with Flinders University in the Faculty of Health Sciences and is an Associate Professor at Pennsylvania State University

This is a great introduction to many of the challenging historical and contemporary issues that student and practicing healthcare professionals must be aware of to enable provision of culturally competent and safe care for Indigenous Australians. I recommend it to my students, and for the ones that have it as a prescribed text, I tell them they cannot study in my Unit without it!
