Welcome to Freezy Tye – voted Britain’s Most Christmassy Village seven years in a row.Keeley and Grace have been best friends since university, where they bonded over a shared love of 19th century romantic classics. But while ultra-cool Keeley went on to study for her doctorate and became the curator of Juniper Cottage, the home of little-known Victorian author Eliza Norton, Grace got married and settled into family life. Now her son is 18 and has gone to spend a year in Australia with his father, leaving Grace with an empty nest and an aching heart. What she needs is a distraction, and she finds it in a part-time job at Santa’s Secret – a winter wonderland warehouse of all things Christmas. Unfortunately, she finds the owner’s grumpy son Raff equally distracting, and not in a good way.Keeley has problems too. The trustees of Juniper Cottage have decided to employ social media whizz Xander Jones to boost Eliza’s profile, and his brashness immediately rattles Keeley. But she has to admit he has some good ideas – especially the candlelit Christmas tours of the cottage. Despite her determination to maintain a professional distance, Keeley finds herself drawn to Xander.
