Clive Staples Lewis was born in 1898. Known as "Jack" by his friends, Lewis and his good friend J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, were part of a writer's club, The Inklings, who would meet at the local pub to discuss story ideas. Lewis's fascination with fairytales, myths, and ancient legends coupled with inspiration drawn from his childhood led him to write The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, one of the best-loved books of all time. Six further books in the immensely popular Chronicles of Narnia followed, and the final title, The Last Battle, received the Carnegie Award, one of the highest marks of excellence in children's literature. Joey Chou was born in Taiwan and grew up in Southern California. After graduating from Art Center College of Design with a degree in illustration, he has been working as a visual development artist in feature films and TV animation for the past 10 years. He is currently working at Sony Picture Animation. He has worked on films such as The Emoji Movie, Hotel Transylvania 2, Cloudy with Chance of Meatball 2 (animated shorts), Surfs up 2, Kung Fu Panda: Legend of Awesomeness, and more. He has worked with studios such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Dreamworks, Warner Bros, Cartoon network, Paramount, Sony, Netflix, and many more.Joey is also known for creating illustration art for children's book such as It's a Small World, Say What, I'm a Ballerina (Little Golden Book), Monster & Son, B. Bear and Lolly series, working with publishers such as Simon and Schuster, Chronicle books, Random House, Disney Press, and HarperCollins.
