Post-Conflict Economies in Africa

Augustin Kwasi Fosu is currently the the Senior Policy Advisor/Chief Economist of the Economic Commission for Africa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and erstwhile Director of Research of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Kenya, and RDRC Research Fellow, University of California-Berkeley, USA. He has published extensively on economic growth and development as well as on labour economics. He is co-editor of the Journal of African Economies (Oxford). Paul Collier is Professor of Economics and Director of the Centre for the Study of African Economics at Oxford University. He is also Professor Associate at CERDI, Universite d'Auvergne and Fellow of the CEPR, London. He is the author of numerous books and papers and has written on: macroeconomics, focusing on external shocks, exchange rate and trade policies; on microeconomics, focusing on labour and financial markets; and on rural development, on which he has written three books.
