Gary Indiana was a critic, actor, artist, and author of some of the most audacious novels of our time, including Horse Crazy, Gone Tomorrow, Rent Boy, Do Everything in the Dark, and the acclaimed ‘true crime’ trilogy Resentment, Three-Month Fever, and Depraved Indifference; as well as the memoir I Can Give You Anything but Love, a collection of art criticism, Vile Days, and Fire Season: Selected Essays. He died in 2024. Olivia Laing is an internationally acclaimed writer and critic. They’re the author of eight books, including The Lonely City, Everybody and the Sunday Times number one bestseller The Garden Against Time. Laing’s first novel, Crudo, won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize and in 2018 they were awarded the Windham-Campbell Prize for non-fiction. They are an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts and their books have been translated into twenty-one languages.
