Diana Hendry is a poet, short story writer and children’s author who has published over forty books for children and teenagers, including Harvey Angell, which won a Whitbread Award in 1991, and Harvey Angell Beats Time, which won the Scottish Arts Council Book Award in 2001. He has contributed to well over two hundred titles as an illustrator and wood-engraver, including Lyra's Oxford by Philip Pullman, Tiny's Big Adventure by Martin Waddell and Seahorse by Chris Butterworth. John lives in Cambridge and lectured on the M.A. course in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art.
