Scott of the Antarctic''s amazing diary of the ill-fated Terra Nova expedition in which he perished along with Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans after reaching the South Pole behind Roald Amundsen. Scott''s diary has been constantly in print since first publication in 1913 and has sold almost 250,000 copies. However, the original illustrations that accompanied the first edition have long since disappeared from the cheap paperback editions currently available.
