Case to Dye For

Welcome to Cedar Glen — a California retirement community where the bingo is competitive, friendships are fierce and secrets never stay buried for long.Bad hair days have never been this deadly. The Alphabet Sleuths — Atsuko, Barbara, Claire and Daphne — have learned that wherever they go, trouble follows. They just never expected their next case to start with a haircut. The girls gather at the salon as Claire finishes her appointment. Then hairdresser Stephanie flips the sign to Closed and asks for their help. Someone has been sending her threatening notes. You’d better zip your lip, blabbermouth, if you know what’s good for you. Before anyone can blink, a woman in a purple jumpsuit storms in, throws an iced caramel macchiato in Stephanie’s face, and tells her to stay away from her husband.By the end of the week, Stephanie is dead under her vintage hairdryer.Stephanie could work wonders with rollers. Unfortunately, she wasn’t quite as good at keeping her clients’ secrets. Now the sleuthing friends have a killer to find — and a suspect list almost as long as Stephanie’s client list.Half of Cedar Glen sat in her chair. Half of Cedar Glen had something to hide. But who among them wanted Stephanie silenced for good?Perfect for fans of Richard Osman, Jesse Q. Sutanto, M.C. Beaton, Killers of a Certain Age and The Golden Girls.
