I have never enjoyed Bob Dylan's music, and have neither had any previous contact with his texts. So I might be able to evaluate his lyrics with fresh eyes. I think this is great poetry, and Dylan is well worth the Nobèl Prize he got. There must be many people like me, who were never attracted by his music, but who will find a new world open when they read these poems. I may not be the right person to make predictions, but I think that Dylan's poems will survive even when his music is forgotten.
