Monster Makeovers

Jonathan Emmett was born in Leicestershire in 1965, the son of a factory fitter and a primary school teacher. He loved books from an early age, and some of his earliest memories are of visiting his local library. He studied and worked as an architect for several years before becoming a full-time writer. He writes and illustrates young fiction and picture books and has also paper-engineered several pop-up books. Emmett lives in Nottingham, UK.Rae Minos is an artist from Canada. She comes from a family of animators and grew up surrounded by art and cartoons. Rae graduated from the Animation program at Sheridan College in 2022 and has since been working full time in the animation industry. Although she loves animation, it’s always been Rae’s dream to create art for children’s books and toys. Her work is greatly inspired by mid-century design and draws inspiration from many artists, such as Mary Blair, Craig McCracken, and Tim Biskup. She enjoys creating fun and colorful work in a graphic style. Minos currently lives in Sydney, Australia.
