This sweet chapter book about the magic grandparents bring to the ordinary is “sure to make beginning readers smile, if not chuckle out loud” (School Library Journal).

Barney’s certain that his weekend with his grandparents is ruined—first, he smashes his favorite model airplane and he’s got a science project to do. But Grandpa can make fun out of anything, and what seems to be impossible, like that science project, can take the two of them straight into outer space.

In sunny, short chapters with a large helping of slapstick humor, Denys Cazet pens a book that beginning readers will be eager to tackle on their own.
