A frequent contributor to Early American Life and Connecticut magazines and other publications, McCain wrote the award-winning publication To All on Equal Terms, the story of Connecticut’s official state heroine, Prudence Crandall. She is the author of Thy Children’s Children: A Historical Novel Based on the True Story of Five Generations of a New England Grassroots Dynasty, the Lyman family of Middlefield, Connecticut’s, Lyman Orchards. She lives in Durham, Connecticut.
