Giorgio Baruchello is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Akureyri, Iceland. He read Philosophy at the University of Genoa, Italy, and the University of Iceland. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Guelph, Canada. Skafti Ingimarsson holds a PhD from the University of Iceland. His research interests are left-wing politics in Iceland in the 20th century, the Cold War and Icelandic political history. He gained a Master's degree in History from the University of St Andrews, UK. Jakob Thor Kristjánsson is an independent security analyst and consultant. He has published papers and books and lectured about, military history, Icelandic security, international relations and international security. Kristín M. Jóhannsdóttir is an Assistant Professor at the University of Akureyri, Iceland. She has a PhD in Linguistics from the University of British Columbia, Canada, as well as BA and MA degrees in Icelandic from the University of Iceland.
