Uma Menon was a National YoungArts Winner for three consecutive years, is a three-time Pushcart Prize nominee, the first Youth Fellow for the International Human Rights Art Festival and has been published in the Washington Post, HuffPost and the Progressive. Uma was 16 years old when she wrote her debut picture book, My Mother's Tongues, illustrated by Rahele Jomepour Bell. She is currently attending Yale Law School.
