R. Crumb Sketchbook Vol. 10

R. Crumb is undoubtedly the foremost cartoonist of the latter twentieth century, and his sketchbooks might rank as his finest achievement. Volume 10 is the latest to be published. It covers from mid-1975 through early 1977 and represents one of the more inquisitive and soul-searching period in this phenomenal artist's life. Unrecognisable as straight biography, these books chronicle Crumb's perceptions more than his life itself. The cumulutaive effect of these sketchbooks is to narrow the gap between the artist and his art.
