Beskrivning
Niko and his crew embark on an intergalactic adventure to the Planet Zorg, where Niko's cousin Sasha is being held captive by a space pirate (who is actually Niko's sister, Posh!). But when Niko and his crew charge in to the rescue, the girls do the unthinkable by capturing his ship and leaving him stranded far from Planet Home. Using his characteristic ingenuity and wit, Niko manages to take back control of his spaceship and his story. With a picture book format, comic book–style artwork, and humorous, simple text, Space Boy and the Space Pirate is both a thrilling adventure and a celebration of the power of pretend play.

"(A) second thrilling adventure... (with) five brief chapters break the action into separate, exciting set pieces worthy of Tom Swift... Neubecker's digital art crackles and pops as Niko's spaceship exudes curlicues of red and black smoke and lands on a planet awash in reds, yellows, and oranges. Intergalactic derring-do, and home just in time for supper." — Kirkus Reviews"Space Boy Niko is back in his second adventure... Regan perfectly captures the joys of imaginative play and woes sibling rivalry while telling an excellent adventure story. The text is action-packed and humorous and clearly conveys the fine line between reality and science fiction. The cleverness of the text combined with Neubecker's comic book panels, full-page spreads, witty details, perfect expressions, and spot-on color palette makes for an exciting and satisfying read. Great for storytime or individual sharing. Kids will want multiple readings of this story." — School Library Journal
