A panoramic yet intimate exploration of photography in and around Beirut.Part of Aperture’s acclaimed series of city-focused issues, the Winter 2026 issue takes an expansive look at photography in Beirut, a city shaped by continual reinvention and long recognized as a cradle of artistic experimentation, fashion, and intellectual life. Developed in close collaboration with the photographer Myriam Boulos, the issue brings a distinctly feminist perspective to the Lebanese capital through portfolios by Rabab Chamseddine, Yasmina Hilal, and Rima Samman; profiles of Walid Raad and Aline Manoukian; and archival discoveries from the Arab Image Foundation.
