Pogo Vol. 3

This third instalment of the complete syndicated comic strips of Walt Kelly covers the period directly after his winning the National Cartoonist Society's prestigious Reuben Award for POGO. Here Kelly tackles Joseph McCarthy's anti-communist witchhunt head-on, caricaturing the Senator as insidious - and soon to be notorious - wildcat Simple J. Malarkey. Kelly's visual and literary wit permeates this volume which also features Kelly's much-loved characters Churchy La Femme, P.T. Bridgeport, and Pup Dog and Houn'dog.
