FeederWatch data help scientists track broadscale movements of winter bird populations and long-term trends in bird distribution and abundance. Emma holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and has studied birds in Australia, Malaysia, and most recently, the Sonoran Desert, the hottest desert of North America.
