River of Blessings

The River of Blessings, the final installment in David Marquis’ River Trilogy, is a lyrical meditation on the unpredictable movements of life and the stream of blessings that come in their own, unpredictable time with the pursuit of goodness.“Life is not a vending machine,” begins David Marquis’ The River of Blessings, “You can’t simply put in a good deed, a good work, and immediately get a blessing in return.” Instead, life and its blessings flow like a river, sometimes unpredictable and nonlinear, sometimes flowing with force and other times like a trickle. In The River of Blessings, David Marquis asks readers to embrace life’s mysteries and let go of its burdens in order to feel the full weight of its blessings more fully.
