The narrative of the novel is built around simple episodes of everyday life, which reveal the hidden depths of people from a communities. It reflects the amazing inner strength in the most mundane and special people. The plot intends to give the feeling that the author lived through what he writes about. What he feels to be true. The Anglo-Indian remains undefined; each having his own definition. Any parallels found with the characters were purely unintentional. They happened to walk into the novel.
