Rica and the Tamarind Tree is the first of a series of books of the life of Dr. Valrica M.M. Bryson. The story is about Rica and her two brothers Richie and Junior on their adventure to pick Tamarind during the summer months. They have heard of a tree that renders the juiciest Tamarind on the island of St. Croix where they live in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
