Her quick action and the immediate response of her team nullifies the mafia''s attempt.
The action against the mafia boss is taken not by Alex but by the Gulf Cartel who warned the Mafia to keep away from Alex.
Having a drug cartel shielding a law enforcement individual is a surprise to all involved.
