Zenon Franco is a grandmaster from Paraguay, now living in Spain. He represented Paraguay, on top board, in seven Chess Olympiads, and won individual gold medals at Lucerne 1982 and Novi Sad 1990. He is an experienced trainer and has written numerous books on chess.

Move by Move is a well worked out concept and I've again enjoyed a number of books from this series. I also enjoyed this one a lot. --- Matthew Sadler, New in Chess Magazine ---- Readers may be happy to sit back and enjoy a selection of extremely well-annotated games, but there are also plenty of pointers within which we can apply to our own games even in the 21st Century. --- CHESS Magazine ----- Lasker: Move by Move by Zenon Franco does justice to the great champion. Using the move by move format, which encourages active learning through questions and exercises, the Paraguayan grandmaster covers all aspects of the game. This is a well-researched book with Franco referencing and adding to Soltis and Nunn's work with the result that the annotations are more detailed than usual for books in the Move by Move series. --- John Donaldson
