The Western Sahara is the last colony in Africa and the only Spanish-speaking territory in the Arab World. This book explores the dynamic process of construction of the Saharawi identity, culture and society developed in the refugee camps.
Dr Pablo San Martin worked as a lecturer in Spanish studies and the University of Leeds. He now works as a consultant and freelance writer, who specialises in conflict, security and nationalism in Spanish-speaking Africa.
