Caroline grew up in a village south of Cambridge, UK, where she loved to cycle around the surrounding countryside. Poems would often pop into her head, and she would race home and jot them down in an old exercise book. With her daughter, Caroline continues to find treasures and inspiration from visits to the beach and adventures around the world.Jenny Duke has always loved books and making pictures, so children’s book illustration is her perfect occupation. Since graduating from the MA program in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge University, she has been working on a number of projects, several based in East Anglia where the skies, water and light inspire much of her work. Her books always begin with drawing, but she never knows until later whether she will use paint, print, collage or digital techniques to complete them.
