Sam Hay (Author) Sam Hay has written more than fifty books, including the Undead Pets and Spy Penguins series, and the award-winning picture book Star in the Jar, which has been translated into a dozen languages and was adapted for stage. Her novel Billy Angel was long-listed for the UKLA award.Catarina Oliveira (Illustrator) Catarina is a professional illustrator and graphic designer, working on Children's books, and lives in Portugal. She is Portuguese-Canadian, neurodivergent and a nature lover at heart, and when she is not drawing for Kid Lit, she illustrates for Paper/Gift products. Outside of work, she is either home cooking (but not baking) or admiring the moss in the woods.
