Elric of Melniboné returns as shred of the man he formerly was in this new graphic novel adaptation of Michael Moorcock’s most legendary character. With stunning art by Valentin Sécher and brilliantly adapted by Julien Blondel Jean-Luc Cano, Elric’s story continues in volume 6 of this graphic novel series.Return to Michael Moorcock’s most epic character Elric, in this sixth installment of the graphic novel adaptations. After the events in The Necromancer, Elric travels throughout the lands in search of The Fortress of the Dawn, the last bastion of law that stands before the world of chaos. Seeking out the Empress of the Dawn, Elric and Moonglum find themselves set against Theleb K’aarna, a shaman hellbent on usurping Elric’s tie to Arioch Lord of the Seven Darks. With a small army in his way, Elric must battle the evil of chaos as well as the temptation of the mighty Stormbringer, Elric’s black blade of chaos incarnate.Illustrated by Valentin Sécher of Khaal and The Metabaron Books and written by the skilled Julien Blondel and Jean-Luc Cano, the writer behind the award-winning videogame Life Is Strange, Elric of Melniboné sets out to fight a war against the machinations of an evil shaman.

    Recensioner i media

“The best graphic adaptation of the story, however, has to be the current one by Julien Blondel and his team. Not only have they stayed faithful to the spirit of the book, but they have made subtle additions to the story, which, had I thought of them fifty years and more ago, I would have included.” Michael Moorcock“The latest chapter in Julien Blondel’s graphic novel adaptation of the Elric saga is as worthy a work as the previous ones … The artwork by Valentin Secher shows similar craft and cunning. The world of Elric is dark and drab, yet with vibrancy and life beneath the doom and gloom. The original stories’ themes of decay and a world in decline are well echoed in the imagery here.” Kabooooom“One of the most iconic and well-regarded characters in all of fantasy fiction. No stranger to the comics realm, Elric continues to excite and captivate over sixty years after his first appearance … Perfect for fans of sword-and-sorcery fantasy comics like Conan The Barbarian as well as lavishly illustrated comics." Comics Beat"If Titan Comics takes this series to the limit --adapting countless stories of Elric - I’d rather sit down with a stack of their books to read over and over than watching the Extended Versions of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit." Sci Fi Monkeys“Gorgeous comic, as all the Elric comics by Secher and Blondel are.” Eternal Crusader“As always, Elric’s greatest struggle is not just against his enemies, but with his own weapon—one that may no longer be certain it wants him as its master.” First Comics News“Detailed art and luminous colors” The Dragon's Cache“The existentialism of Elric’s world, divided between the balance of “law” and “chaos”, is compelling, to say the least … I love the internal struggle Elric faces under duress by external factors beyond his control, and how that shapes his interactions with reality.” In Asian Spaces
